2019 Security Predictions Mid-Year Review

It’s been about 6 months since we released our 2019 Security Predictions so this week on The 443 – Security Simplified, we re-visit them to see how we’ve done so far. We’ll cover which ones have been hits and which ones are on track complete with relevant news updates.

    Wes,

    I just looked up the official release dates for WPA-3 AP’s and routers on the Wi-Fi Alliance database.
    Of the 192 devices listed there, the majority are from Aruba (Hewlett Packard Enterprise) and Dell, although a smaller company Synology, has the earliest date listed of 10/24/2018. The next entry was from Ruckus on 10/29.

    There are 86 phone certifications, along with 36 other devices. Interestingly, not all of the total allow WPA3- Enterprise, just WPA3- personal.
