WatchGuard Secure Access Points Garner Big Praise in the UK

June 3, 2019 By The Editor

The WatchGuard AP125 and AP325 secure, cloud-managed Access Points (APs) allow midmarket businesses and distributed enterprises to offer enterprise-grade wireless internet access to their employees and customers, and their exemplary performance has not gone unnoticed. Both APs recently received glowing reviews in UK-based publications.

Technology Reseller Magazine covered the AP125 in the “Innovations” section of its most recent issue and highlighted the AP’s security, performance and affordability, as well as honoring it with a 2019 Technology Reseller Editor’s Choice Award. Wi-Fi security is just as important in the midmarket as in the enterprise, and we’re excited to see greater public awareness around the need for Wi-Fi solutions like the AP125 (which is secure as well as high-performing).

Larger organizations with more robust wireless networking needs will be happy to know that WatchGuard has a solution for them as well. The AP325 (intended for medium-density internal environments) received rave reviews in IT PRO, with the magazine calling it “Perfect networking for SMBs” and “A supremely versatile wireless AP offering enterprise-class features and tough security at an SMB price.” The IT PRO reviewers really put the AP325 through its paces, so please read the full review for a detailed look at its setup, management and performance. Here’s an excerpt praising the AP325’s detailed management interface.

“Levels of control are remarkable – for each SSID profile, you can have captive portals, walled gardens, traffic shaping, QoS (quality of service) for voice and video traffic plus rules-based traffic and application firewalls. Black and white MAC address lists can be applied while BYOD on-boarding redirects mobile client devices to an authorization web page.”

WatchGuard’s APs are the only ones on the market that provide a Trusted Wireless Environment that combines automatic protection from the six major types of Wi-Fi hacks with powerful performance and management.
