Dear Journal,
Starting today I’m trying something new. I’m writing a journal to document my upcoming business trip across the world. Yup, you heard this right – 8 days traveling the world with my owner. This upcoming travel is definitely more business than pleasure, but boy am I excited! I’m a little nervous because with travel comes security concerns. They say security is my middle name! My owner connects to public Wi-Fi from time to time, and I hold a lot of proprietary information inside me, so…hopefully you get my concern. Before I go on and on preaching about secure Wi-Fi, I should probably introduce myself. Ready or not, here I come!
My name is Mac. Yup, M A C, short for MacBook Pro. It’s a lot cooler if you say it out loud. “Hey Mac, let’s build great products today” is something that my owner says to me all the time! Right now we, well mostly him, are anxiously waiting for a number to be called, lucky number 23. We are at the U.S. Embassy, on a rainy and cold Seattle, WA afternoon, about to be interviewed for a business travel visa. Oh, they just called his number. He quickly closes my cover and tucks me inside his grey Victorinox backpack.

Until next time,
Mac
