April 13, 2018 By The Editor

The WatchGuard team couldn’t be more excited for this year’s RSA Conference, taking place in San Francisco, California from April 16 to April 20. In addition to a featured session on cryptocurrency hacks from our very own Threat Analyst, Marc Laliberte, attendees can look forward to a series of educational presentations hosted at the WatchGuard booth all week long!

Wondering which advanced threats are the biggest challenge for firewalls today? Curious how small businesses with limited IT resources can protect themselves in the modern threat landscape? Want to learn more about how multi-factor authentication can help secure your organization? Look no further than booth #S923!

See below for complete details on exciting WatchGuard RSA presentations you won’t want to miss:

Lost in the Ether: How Ethereum Hacks are Shaping the Blockchain Future

Who: Presented by Marc Laliberte

Where: Moscone South, Room 308

When: Friday, April 20, from 11:30am – 12:15pm

Details: With nearly $50 billion in total market cap, Ether is the second largest cryptocurrency, only behind Bitcoin. In the last two years, cyber criminals have exploited code flaws, web app vulnerabilities, and social engineering to steal over $100 million in Ether cryptocurrency. This session covers Smart Contracts and the Ethereum Virtual Machine, as well as a history of how these heists have shaped Ethereum. Reserve a seat here.

In addition to this main session on Ethereum hacks, WatchGuard experts will be hosting a series of presentations at booth #S923, which will include:

Presented by: Marc Laliberte, Information Security Threat Analyst

The 3 Threats that Make Your Firewall Obsolete: Even the best security, implemented by experts and monitored regularly, is not foolproof. WatchGuard’s Threat Lab experts have researched and compiled a list of the most common threats that frequently circumvent good security. Stop by this presentation for an in-depth look at these attacks to learn how best to address them. Presented by: Tracy Hillstrom, Director of Product Marketing

Trust, Security, and the Small Business Tech Transformation: Small businesses are increasingly turning to technology to compete and grow, embracing solutions that reduce costs, foster customer and employee engagement and bolster business intelligence. As these businesses become more connected, their risk profile increases. Join this session to learn how small businesses can take advantage of innovative technologies, while protecting themselves and their customers from cyber threats. Presented by: Stephen Helm, Product Marketing Manager

Hackers Love Wi-Fi – Hate WatchGuard: Wi-Fi can be a serious security gap for many organizations, and is one that’s often overlooked. Presented by: Milena Babayev-Gurvits, Product Marketing Manager & Arman Salimi, Product Manager
