With the Olympics set to kick off later this week, competitors from around the globe are dreaming and competing for gold. But here in Seattle, gold was already handed out for the 2018 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards. - Silver Winner for Cybersecurity Educator of the Year (North America): Corey Nachreiner, Chief Technology Officer at WatchGuard Technologies
- Bronze Winner for Best Cybersecurity Company (over 500 employees): WatchGuard Technologies
The Cybersecurity Excellence Awards are an annual program that recognizes products, professionals and companies that exhibit innovation, excellence and noteworthy leadership in the information security space. They are selected by popular vote from members of the information security community and based on the strength of their nominations.
WatchGuard’s Firebox M470 was recognized for its ability to inspect encrypted traffic faster than any other UTM appliance in its class, even while all security services are enabled. This means enterprises can protect their network from the growing numbers of threats and attacks without sacrificing network performance. The M470 is the most flexible UTM in its class, and with a complete set of security services – including Application Control, APT Blocker, Data Loss Prevention, Gateway AntiVirus, IPS, Network Discovery, Reputation Enabled Defense and more – it offers complete and cost-effective UTM protection for enterprise customers.
