As I mentioned in our video yesterday, on Wednesday the world learned about some critical local vulnerabilities that affect almost every modern computing platform that uses Intel, AMD, or ARM chips. In today’s video, I share the most important details about these interesting, though dangerous new vulnerabilities. I also discuss why they pose less risk to WatchGuard Firebox customers, despite the fact that we use the affected processors in some of our products. Watch our Daily Byte for a quick summary of these industry-wide vulnerabilities, and make sure to visit the references below for many more technical details. More importantly, if you want to learn more of the technical details about these flaws, I highly recommend Marc Laliberte’s written Secplicity blog post.
