Dresscode Android Spyware – Daily Security Byte

Dresscode, a relatively new Android threat, has infected 400 apps on the Google Play market and thousands of others on third party markets. The malware family doesn’t do anything particularly new or unique, but still threatens businesses by allowing attackers access to your internal network through an infected Android device.     Has Google commented on the fact that their official Play store is being used to propagate this virus? This is a fairly big deal, that they’ve allowed this to happen, surely?

      It’s too far past now, so I don’t know if they commented… but they are certainly not unaware, and have seen when malicious apps have gotten onto Play before
