Latest Car Hacks – Daily Security Byte

August 10, 2016 By Corey Nachreiner

Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek have stunned the world with their car hacking research for years. Their big break through was a remote hack of a Jeep Cherokee through its onboard entertainment systems. Using this attack, the pair could do things like apply brakes or turn your steering wheel. However, the hack had one major caveat. This dangerous stuff only worked when the car was traveling less than 5mph. Watch today’s episode to learn about their Black Hat presentation, where they shared how they overcame this failsafe.
