2018 RSAC Recap: Day 2 – Daily Security Byte

As RSAC 2018 continues, Corey Nachreiner and Marc Laliberte got together again to discuss their favorite sessions at the show this week. One of the talks that really caught Corey’s attention covered the most dangerous hacks out there today. A few examples included in this presentation were hardware vulnerabilities like Meltdown and Spectre, issues in code repositories and software buckets, attacks on industrial control systems and more. Corey also enjoyed a keynote presentation by Monica Lewinsky on the power of shame in the digital age, with some thought-provoking privacy takeaways. And Marc attended a series of intriguing talks about hashing and signature algorithms in a post-quantum cryptography world, which explained several novel examples of new algorithm schemes.

Watch Marc and Corey breakdown these RSA conference highlights and others in the video below. And if you’re at the show, don’t forget to stop by Booth #S923 to say hello to the WatchGuard team and enjoy a few educational security presentations.
