October’s Microsoft and Adobe Patches – Daily Security Byte

You guys know the drill by now. Tuesday was both Microsoft and Adobe’s Patch Day, during which they release all their scheduled security updates for the month. This month includes all the normal Microsoft software (Windows, Office, IE, etc.), as well as Adobe Flash Player and some other less common Adobe products. Watch our Byte below to learn more details, but be sure to visit the links in the Reference section to find the patches and deploy them.

As an aside, one of the videos I got behind on last month was September’s Patch Day. If you haven’t installed that batch of updates, know that they fix the zero day local privilege elevation flaw that I spoke about in a previous video (among many other issues). Make sure to get those updates as well, if you haven’t already.
