Election Day Hacking Concerns – Daily Security Byte

It’s the day before the U.S. Presidential election today, and a significant amount of infosec news covered whether or not there will be any election day cyber attacks tomorrow. Some articles say the U.S. government has prepared for the worst, while other articles suggest the government isn’t really expecting any significant hacks. Almost everyone agrees hacking won’t affect the election results, but some correctly point out that we could see a few disruptive disinformation attacks. Watch today’s video to get my thoughts on what kind of hack you should or shouldn’t expect tomorrow. In short, I’d plan for a normal day, and make sure to visit the polling booths if you haven’t voted already.
